This is an alternative poster for a game called ‘ Zelda , Ocarina of time’ The main thing with alternative film posters made by fans they are not obvious all the time and sometimes they pick things that you would only know if you played/watched the film/game. They don’t usually show the main character or what is shown on the original its more hidden and more made for fans. For example the one above has a silhouette of the ocarina which is in the title but most people don’t know what a ocarina is which is an instrument which is one of the most important parts of the game.The poster is mainly all green because Link who is the main character is from a forest and a lot of it is going through forests.
Avengers Assemble ( Fan Made Poster )
This is an Alternative poster for the film ‘Avengers Assemble’. This is a very simple but smart poster. People that watch avengers/marvel will understand what the picture means and in a way it has the main characters but its doesn’t really show who they are. The original poster is quite straight forward and has all the avengers standing together so you already know who is involved in the film who are the important characters and who are the main characters. I really liked this poster as it is so simple but it is very effective. It has all the main characters there but you will only know its about them if you know the film or know the characters.
The Dark Knight ( Alternative Poster / Fan Made Poster )
This is an alternative film poster for the dark knight. This is a very simple and easy poster but it is very powerful and clever. The original poster has the just the dark knight standing with a tall building behind him but in this one there is half of batman’s face and half of the joker’s face. This gives you the sense that they be connected because there half and half and it also shows that they are living in different worlds and there are many other things that you can pick out from the poster and this is why i really like it. I really like the fact that behind batman there is a moon and behind the joker there are different colors.
How they relate or inspire my work?
All these posters show a very important scene/ characters from the movie and it makes it so that if you have seen the movie you know exactly who or what it is from as they are such important things in the movie/game.
